How should I care for my chillies now they are flowering?

ABOB SAYS I wish I knew which sort you’re growing, as there are huge differences in requirements between the many varieties, which vary in size, shape, colour, pungency and vigour.

There are compact sorts, happy in small pots, all the way to headhigh monsters needing large tubs. So, depending on your variety give them suitably sized containers and if not a compact variety support with a cane, especially heavy cropping, large fruited sorts.

Keep the compost moist but never wet and feed regularly. All will only succeed outdoors in the warmest spots. They don’t like hot feet so shade containers if positioned in full sun.
