Why are all my F1 Telegraph Improved cucumbers bitter?

ABOB SAYS Indoor cucumber varieties that get pollinated become bitter, so you should inspect daily and remove all the male flowers (ones without a wee cucumber fruit behind them). Improved varieties produce few males, though just one opening is sufficient to result in pollination.

Cucumbers will produce fruits with better flavour if unpollinated
