Meet the readers
After much lively debate, our group of beginner and experienced gardeners have helped to create a 12-part series for Alan, aimed at everyone new to gardening.

Q Do travellers need to be fully vaccinated before they board the ship?
A Yes, all guests aged 18 and over will need to provide proof of vaccination before they board and must have received their final dose at least seven days before travelling. Fully comprehensive cruise insurance is also required if you want to join a Marella cruise.
Q Will I need to take a Coronavirus test every time I visit a port?
A You’ll need to take a lateral flow test before travelling on a UK coastal cruise. Once onboard, you won’t need to take another test, but daily temperature checks will be standard practice. More regular testing may be required for international destinations and Marella Cruises will update travellers if this is the case.
Q Are guests able to explore the different ports by themselves?
A In line with current guidance, guests may only go ashore as part of a Marella Cruises excursion and will not be able to disembark on their own. You can find more details about the many exciting excursions available online.
Q How will social distancing be maintained on the ship?
A Following current guidelines, every Marella cruise will be sailing with a reduced number of guests. There will be a limited capacity of people allowed in the pools and at the restaurants at any one time, and the sunbeds will be socially distanced.
Q Can I still take advantage of the fun activities onboard?
A Live entertainment, including the popular Musical Afternoon Tea and quizzes around the pool will still take place. After dark, you can enjoy West End-style performances in the Broadway Show Lounge. All of these events will have social distancing measures in place to keep you safe.
