Prepare daffodils for spring displays
Plant your daffodil bulbs now to get a strong flower display next spring. Daffs can be planted any time between now and November, but the sooner they go in, the stronger the root establishment and subsequent flowering will be.
Daffodil bulbs are best in fertile, free-draining soil, in sun or part shade. Choose the position according to their height too, planting small ones in the front of a border, with large-flowering types making an impact further back.
For reliable flowering, plant your bulbs deep, ensuring that the tips are covered in soil to twice the height of the bulb.
