Which vegetables I can sow at this time of year in my raised beds?

AMATT SAYS There are plenty of veg that can be started now for harvesting this year or in spring. Make sowings of radishes, turnips and spring onions, as well as early carrots and peas (at the beginning of the month), plus beetroot, lettuces, spinach or leaf beet, to harvest either as cut-and-comeagain leaves or when mature. Water the drill before sowing so the seeds sit on damp soil, then cover with dry soil so the moisture doesn’t evaporate.

Towards the end of the month, sow Japanese onions, spring onions, spinach, lettuces and spring cabbages, the latter under fleece.
