Should I lift my seed-grown dahlias in autumn?

AMATT SAYS It is possible to lift them, but bedding dahlias are usually used in temporary summer displays in containers and borders. It is the traditional tuberous dahlias that are lifted and overwintered. Growing dahlias from seed as halfhardy annuals allows you to pack plenty into a small space and change your displays with ease.
