Be on the watch for waxcaps

Wild plant conservation charity Plantlife is asking us all to be on the lookout for colourful grassland mushrooms called waxcaps. Different species can be indicators of ancient meadows and could help them target their conservation efforts. By downloading the app and recording what and where you spot waxcap fungi from the end of this month, you’ll help to build up a picture of their habitats around the UK and also learn to identify them.
