Red spider mite

Look for the tell-tale mottled leaves and thin webs that indicate a red spider mite infestation on crops such as aubergines and tomatoes. The mites like bright, dry conditions, so can still be a pest outside in September, as well as the greenhouse.

Pick off the worst affected leaves and don’t store any parts of those plants inside. Red spider mite won’t survive a cold winter outside.
