Compost old summer bedding

-

Pull out and compost your bedding plants once they have gone over. Frost or prolonged spells of heat and dry weather will finish off annuals such as begonias, sweet peas and lobelias. If you are adding in quantities of soft green material, make sure that you also mix in some brown material, such as woody prunings, or ripped up pieces of cardboard.
