Look after your loppers

-

Like any cutting tool, loppers need to be carefully maintained to maximise their performance, prolong their life and, crucially, to protect your plants. A sharp blade is essential for neat, clean cuts that will heal well. You should also disinfect the blade between every plant to avoid spreading diseases. Always put your loppers away clean and dry, and oil them regularly, to prevent rust. This will make using them easier, especially over long periods.
