Outdoor space is key for home-buyers

House builders are adding allotments to new developments after research showed buyers put green space top of their list when looking for a home. House builder Redrow is creating 6.3 hectares of new allotments, while Edenstone Homes has provided 32 new plots. The National Allotment Society says lockdown has pushed demand for allotments higher than ever: “Councils are creating new plots too,” adds spokesperson Di Appleyard.
