In the pink

-

The pheasant’s tail grass provides soft movement. Its upright form contrasts with the strong shapes of the anemone foliage, while its tones match those of the flowers. The stonecrop creates low interest, both with its flowers and glaucous foliage. All the plants are happy in sun or semi-shade.

Pheasant’s tail grass

The gently arching foliage of Anemanthele lessoniana carries tints of yellow, orange and red and provides year-round colour. The silky flowerheads are pink and airy in late summer. Flowers June to August

Anemone x hybrida ‘Montrose’

I love this plant because the soft pink flowers have a loose, slightly tousled look. They stand above mid-green foliage and are a late nectar source for bees, butterflies and other insects. Flowers August to October

H x S 90cm x 80cm

Hylotelephium cauticola ‘Lidakense’

A wonderful, hard-working little stonecrop with dark red flowers above leathery, glaucous leaves. It works well around the edges of a pot. Flowers July to September H x S 15cm x 30cm
