Less plastic, more advice

-

Regarding attempts to reduce the number of plastic compost sacks (Clippings, September issue), I have been able to re-use a large proportion of the plastic bags for lining the insides of my wooden raised beds. I do think it is a good idea that gardeners club together, buy compost in bulk and make their own potting mixes at home from garden compost, soil and leafmould. Could you provide more information on compost, leafmould and making our own compost mixes?
