Harvest maincrop turnips now

Pull up turnips when they’re a bit bigger than a golf ball. They’ll be tender at this size and after frost or two, even tastier. Turnips are hardy enough to leave in the ground but if you need to clear the space, pull them all up when the soil is quite dry and store them somewhere cool for the winter. Make sure to remove the leaves and clean off any soil
