Don’t forget

Avoid walking on lawns that are waterlogged or frosty as this will damage the grass. Make temporary paths with planks of wood

Place chicken wire over pots to deter squirrels digging up bulbs

Treat any red thread (a fungus causing grass to die) on lawns with a fungicide if needed

Clean out bird boxes for next spring’s nesting activity and sterilise them with boiling water
