Ireland’s diverse plant heritage reunited

-

Plant enthusiasts have traced over 1,000 plants with an Irish connection. The new National Collection of Irish Heritage Plants is scattered across 75 locations: it includes Phlox subulata ‘Daisy Hill’, rediscovered in an Estonian market, and Primula ‘Julius Caesar’, found in a single garden. “It’s only when you talk to someone that you find out what they have,” says co-ordinator Stephen Butler. irishgardenplantsociety.com
