How to take cuttings

-

1

Use sharp scissors to snip pieces of stem about 5-8cm long. Look to tidy your plant as you collect material, choosing stems that are too long or growing more on one side.

2

Pinch the leaves off the stems, leaving the top two or three in place to help the plant continue to grow. If any stems break off unintentionally, these can also be used.

3

Tape a grid across a jar of fresh water to hold up the cuttings. Make your final cut on each stem just below a leaf node and place in the water. Pot up when roots have formed.
