Q Can I replace trees that had ash dieback and honey fungus?

-

Mary McCormack, Co. Tipperary A

PIPPA SAYS Ash dieback only affects ash trees, so you should steer clear of planting ash in your garden. Unfortunately your trees also showed signs of honey fungus, so it’s best to avoid replanting with any trees or shrubs that are susceptible to this, including lilac, liquidambar, oaks, willows and honey locust (Gleditsia).
