TICKLED PINK
My mother-in-law used to have a copper beech whose resplendence was lauded across the Midlands. It was sturdy and tall, and was the undoubted guv’nor of that garden. Even better, it sheltered at its feet a fabulous gathering of cyclamen that would come out and strut their stuff once the leaves had fallen. Sadly, the tree fell and the house was sold, but I hope those cyclamen are still there.
