Q When can I move a mature callicarpa?

-

AMATT SAYS You can move plants at almost any age, but it is not always practical due to size. Do this when dormant, from leaf fall to bud burst in spring. Dig round, removing as large a rootball as possible. Tidy up damaged roots with a pair of secateurs, sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi on exposed roots, then replant in the new location at the same depth as before. Mulch and water until established.
