How to pot plug plants into bigger pots

1 Fill pots with two parts peat-free multi-purpose compost to one part perlite and level it off.

2 Push a pencil or dibber gently through the base of each cell to release the plug plant.

3 Make a deep hole in the middle of each new pot with your dibber and drop the plug in, covering the roots.

4 Use a watering can with a sprinkler on the end to soak the compost until puddles form.
