Pick anemones to enjoy indoors
Gather anemones to make a cheery display in a vase. Choose flowers with petals that are just starting to open and cut as long a stem as possible.
Condition them to last even longer by first standing the flowers in a tall jug of lukewarm water, right up to their neck. Cut the base of the stems again under the water. Leave for a few hours, then arrange in a vase.
Cut some early daffodils, hellebores and pulmonaria to go with them.
