Protect early-flowering fruit trees such as nectarines, apricots and peaches from frost, which can prevent the blossom from developing into fruit. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and when frost is predicted, cover the blossom with a layer of fleece, pegged in place. Remove it during the day to give pollinators access.
