Q How do I prune my tall buddleia?

A CHRISTINE SAYS Buddleja davidii benefits from being hard pruned in March on a regular basis. I would take all stems back down to 30-60cm from the base.

This may appear to be brutal, but it will encourage the plant to put on growth lower down, creating a good shape and plenty of flowering shoots.
