Dos and don’ts

✔DO use a plant food that is recommended for the type of crop that you are growing.

✔DO check plants daily for watering

needs in hot summer spells.

✔DO water first thing in the morning or last thing at night to reduce water evaporation.

✔DO feed plants in containers with liquid plant food and place a saucer underneath the pot to catch the excess so the roots can take it up.

DON’T feed plants more than the guidelines suggested on the manufacturer’s instructions

DON’T water directly onto plant leaves in sunny conditions because you can scorch leaves
