How do you save money?

-

Rather than costing more money, wildlife gardening can actually cost you less. Instead of removing rotting leaves underneath the hedge, or disposing of piles of logs from tree surgery, leave them in a stack as a haven for insects and other forms of life that will enjoy them. The insects they shelter provides food for other wildlife as well. Bird feed will certainly cost you money, and there is an initial outlay on nest boxes and the like, but this is hardly excessive and is far outweighed by the pleasure provided.
