Pot up new house plants

-

Open the packaging that your plug plants arrive in immediately. Stand the roots in a tray of water to soak if they are particularly dry. Part fill a pot with peat-free compost and hold the plug in the centre with one hand, while using the other hand to add handfuls of compost around the plug.

Firm the compost with your fingers then water. Soak them from the base as water droplets will scorch the leaves. Space out your plants in a light position on a greenhouse bench or sunny windowsill indoors.
