Get an early strawberry crop
Pot up some young strawberry plants into containers and grow them under cover for an early, tasty crop of fruits this summer. Pot several into multipurpose compost.
Make sure the crown of the plant is well above the surface when it is firmed in or it will rot. Water the plants in and feed with a high potassium liquid feed to encourage flowering.
Once the plants are flowering, make sure you open the vents or doors to encourage pollinating insects in. This will help ensure a good crop of fruits.
