My honeysuckle doesn’t look well, what should I do?

- Jason Farquhar, by email

MATTHEW SAYS Your plant doesn’t appear to be in the best state of health. Scrape the bark lightly with your fingernail on the twining stems above the shoots. If there’s no green under the bark, they are dead, so prune the stems down to those visible shoots, and they should grow away just fine.
