Tie in sweet peas

-

Use soft garden twine to tie in the young sweet pea shoots that are beginning to reach out from their supports. Sweet pea stems will sprawl away and drop if left to their own devices and, later, the weight of the flowers will weaken the stems more if they are not well supported. Tie young shoots in close to the supports and they’ll create a good structure for flowers to grow and newer shoots will grip with their tendrils.
