Plant lilies into gaps in borders

-

Add extra colour and scent to your borders by planting pot-grown lilies in any gaps. Lilies look best when they’re flowering above the lower foliage of other border plants, so a spot in full sun between clumps of earlier-flowering peonies, lupins or irises would be ideal.

Plant them deep and improve the drainage in heavy soil so they last for years. Lilies will flower from late June until the end of the summer.
