Trachelospermum asiaticum or
T. jasminoides, a honeysuckle such as Lonicera periclymenum ‘Graham Thomas’ or sweet peas sown or planted each year.
When planting, add plenty of compost, well-rotted manure or leafmould to improve the water-holding ability of the soil.
