Q How deep should I plant out celeriac plugs?

-

Valerie Grant, by email

A BOB SAYS With celeriac, the edible part is the swollen base below the leaf stalks and this must rest on the surface of the soil, almost standing a little proud. As this swells, many advise removing the oldest leaves, however it’s more important to feed and water regularly and generously, never allowing it to dry out.
