◼ DAY 1 Arrive independently at The Ripon Inn from 3pm. Enjoy an evening welcome drink and talk from David Hurrion, followed by three-course dinner with two glasses of wine per person.
◼ DAY 2 We begin with a guided tour of York Gate Gardens, one of the country’s finest small gardens. We then travel to
RHS Harlow Carr for a light lunch, then explore the diverse landscape, with free time to visit Betty’s café (not included). We return to the hotel to enjoy evening dinner.
◼ DAY 3 The day starts with a visit to Castle Howard to explore its inspiring architecture and interiors. The peaceful gardens include temples, lakes, fountains, and woodland walks, against the breathtaking backdrop of the Howardian hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. After lunch (not included), we travel to the atmospheric
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden with its water garden surrounding the UK’s largest medieval ruins. Evening dinner in the hotel.
◼ DAY 4 The last day of our charming itinerary takes us first to Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park for a guided tour of the beautifully planted woodland gardens, lakes and arboretum. After lunch in the tearoom (included), we drive to Littlethorpe Manor Gardens for a guided tour, which includes a walled garden. Finish the tour with afternoon tea and cake, then return to the hotel.
