This graceful columbine thrives in dappled shade, as well as being an essential component of a f lowering meadow. The combination of dusky purple petals fringed by the creamy corolla means it mingles perfectly with a wide range of plants including primulas, irises and paeonias in shades of lilac, lemon and pink.
