This new cul­ti­var forms a large, multi-stemmed bush with glossy green leaves. Rich, ma­roon-red f low­ers with a light ap­ple scent and are pro­duced con­tin­u­ously from June un­til the first frosts. Best used as a prize spec­i­men for a favoured spot in the gar­den, or at the back of a bor­der or in wood­land edge-style plant­ing. In our view, the best shrub introduction of re­cent years.

Height 3m. Ori­gin Gar­den ori­gin. Con­di­tions Any soil; sun or par­tial shade. Har­di­ness USDA 5a-9b. Sea­son of in­ter­est Sum­mer.
