IT’S A SCANDAL!
Filming has begun on the BBC’s next big gay drama, A Very English Scandal. Based on John Preston’s book of the same name, it tells the story of MP Jeremy Thorpe who was tried for, but acquitted, of conspiring
to murder his ex-lover Norman Scott in 1979.
Ben Whishaw will star as Norman, opposite Hugh Grant as Jeremy and the
three-part drama is written by Dame Russell T Davies.
Russell said: “It’s a dream come true to work with Ben. One of Britain’s
finest actors playing one of history’s most fascinating men.”
A Very English Scandal will air on BBC One in 2018
