LAST CHRISTMAS

Based on Wham’s iconic holiday anthem of the same name, Last Christmas stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as an unlucky shop worker who falls in love with a terminally delightful man, played by Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), who helps bring out her Christmas spirit. So far, it’s received mixed reviews for a certain controversial plot twist, but d’ya know what? We liked it. It made us cry and feel gooey, therefore: perfect Christmas film. The film also showcases Clarke’s versatility; she went from the Mother of Dragons to the Queen of Romcoms. It won’t earn Clarke an Oscar, but it’s established her as one of cinema’s new leading ladies.
