In a tale of two parts, TommyXTimberland returns for a second capsule collection. While the first drop told the story of the two brands’ heritages and shared paths, Drop 2 looks ahead to reshape the future with purpose. Sustainability and responsibility are fundamentally at the core of both brands’ values, so naturally the collection centres around finding solutions that reduce the environmental footprint. Thinking of new progressive ways of production, materials are sourced responsibly. Garments are constructed to last for years to come. “This collaboration is a big celebration of what partnership and a shared determination to expand new horizons can achieve,” said Mr. Tommy Hilfiger. “We took the best of our designs and the best of our sustainability knowledge and brought it all to the table for a collection that really pushes the needle. We looked at different elements of our designs and said ‘how can we do this better?’ The whole collection is about looking forward and shaping the future we want to see for the next generations.” Adding to this, Christopher Raeburn, Global Creative Director of Timberland expressed: “We wanted to push the boundaries of our iconic archival pieces by intensifying our focus on eco-innovation. This is a big step in our journey to drive innovation and progress in pursuit of a more green and equitable future – one where we strive to not only do less harm, but have a positive impact on nature. We hope to inspire the industry as a whole to work together and move the world forward.” The collection is the perfect fusion of both brands’ aesthetics with puffer jackets and boots, amongst other apparel pieces, getting a harmonious remix from both power house designers.
