Where do they go?

Europe was home to the largest number of international migrants in the world in 2020 with 87 million, followed by North America (59 million) and Northern Africa and Western Asia (50 million). If current trends continue, Northern Africa and Western Asia (considered one region for this purpose) is expected to overtake North America as the region with the second-largest number of migrants within the next few decades.
