Sam

Nose: Light, bright and fruity. A tropical delight with a lovely undertone of malt.

Palate: A gentle mouthfeel. Then huge sweet, spicy notes come to the fore – vanilla, cinnamon and banana with sweet syrup. A little greener as it develops. Citrus tang – lime peels.

Finish: Lingering, continuing with the peppery spice and some of that lime-tang.

Comments: There’s a lot to like about this. A lot. Some heft too

– I think the lime note means it could stand up with some ginger beer in a long drink.

David

Nose: Rich, incredibly fruity. Christmas cake with aromas of plump raisins, baking spices, and cherry, too.

Palate: A complex profile that develops into notes of fruit loaf with a gentle sweetness: in particular, peach and candied citrus peel.

Finish: A long, lingering finish that lasts for minutes with notes of light vanilla and a touch of sappy cedar.

Comments: A balanced spirit with a lot of flavour. An absolute joy to sip as the palate opens up and the different characteristics reveal themselves.
