Peruke & Periwig
31 Dawson Street Dublin 2
Peruke & Periwig is a Victorian-era establishment with a cosy ground floor bar serving drinks and bites, and dinner upstairs. Lined with 1700s powdered wigs, Victorian paintings and upstairs, books, fireplaces, red banquettes and curtains, it’s a unique bar for any city. They feature variations on cocktails, like Pass the Dutchie, based on a Margarita, featuring sage-infused tequila, Earl Grey teainfused Cointreau, lime, honey, Wolfschmidt kummel, egg whites, grapefruit bitters and a basil salt rim. They play with gin in the Clover Club-inspired The Beet Goes On, deftly combining Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin, crème de mûre, Aperol, beetroot, balsamic, lemon, whites, strawberry and teriyaki.
