Though drinks can veer on very sweet, Chelsea Drugstore’s vibrantly colourful space was remodelled in 2019, while their cocktail classes and pleasant staff make it a welcome stop in the heart of Dublin’s city centre. Housed in the historic George’s Street Arcade (one of the oldest shopping markets in the world, dating back to 1876), a pharmacy once flourished in this space at the turn of the 1900s, hence the name. Look for a solid selection of about 20 gins, including a few Irish gins, and changing gin drinks like a gin and Calvados-based Summer in Surrey, combining the two spirits with a house strawberry shrub, a touch of Pedro Ximénez sherry and smoky Lapsang Souchong black tea.
