Bethany

Nose: Blackcurrant squash, and a floral, almost medicinal hint, like rosewater with a touch of menthol/ eucalyptus in there.

Palate: The fruity, floral and medicinal notes from the nose come together to create a blackcurrant cough sweet character on the palate. It’s very soft, and quite viscous.

Finish: The blackcurrant notes get jammier and a slightly bitter menthol note joins in.

Comments: A fairly easy-going flavoured gin. It feels like it would welcome a mix with a floral or citrus tonic water.

David

Nose: A light shade of violet in colour, this has the fruity notes of elderflower on the nose, along with the characteristic aromatics of lavender.

Palate: Spicy coriander and zesty citrus, both lemon and lime, before a marmalade-like sweetness and a thick, slightly syrupy texture that goes well with the jamminess of the elderflower note.

Finish: Resinous lavender followed by acidic citrus notes of lemon and lime.

Comments: A pleasant spirit that highlights its core flavours with bright citrus.
