Nose: It’s like a Solero ice cream with strong, sweet pineapple and a whiff of vanilla-tinted dairy, with touches of pine and earthy spice.
Palate: More sherbetsweet pineapple with hints of spice and a creamy nuttiness developing later. The juniper backbone stops it becoming too sweet.
Finish: A little leafy herbal note develops, which fades with sweet pineapple and lemon.
Comments: I was impressed by the classic gin character in this, well balanced with sweetness. It could make a fun take on a Piña Colada!

Nose: Obvious pineapple, reminiscent of freshly cut pineapple rings, alongside slightly sweet, floral rose.
Palate: A reasonably fresh pineapple flavour: a mix of flesh and juice, along with a balanced sweetness and a touch of lychee, before the more classic gin notes come through.
Finish: A mild, creamy sweetness of caramelised pineapple on the finish with a little alcohol heat.
Comments: A great example of flavoured gin: the pineapple is there, as is the juniper base. It would be lovely in a Gina Colada.
