Nose: Aniseed notes right off the bat, with liqueur-like sweetness and herbal freshness. Hints of ground ginger, liquorice root and pine.

Palate: Aniseed is toned down to herbal tarragon and fennel seed, allowing juniper to come to the fore with bitter grapefruit citrus. Delightfully smooth texture.

Finish: Fennel sees this out with more luscious juniper, too.

Comments: A delicious display of aniseed flavours that needs a simple serve to show it off – a Gin & Tonic would be ideal.

Nose: A pleasant sweetness at the start gradually grows more earthy with aromas of fennel and anise seed, along with smoky, savoury spice.

Palate: An earthy, herbal, and very much botanical sweetness is well balanced by solid juniper and crisp, citrusforward coriander, too.

Finish: A little alcohol, with pepper and the raspberry and violet notes of orris.

Comments: This is a gin with an excellent texture, pleasant intensity, and herbal sweetness that is almost perfectly tailored for a Tuxedo.
