Bethany

Nose: Lemon and orange peel, glacé cherries, creamy oak, almost biscotti, fennel and, later, brown sugar.

Palate: Juniper and coriander come through with peppery oak warmth. More vibrant orange notes balance with pale caramel sweetness.

Finish: Warm and soothing, with spicy oak, pine, and subtle chocolate notes.

Comments: Beautifully composed, and the touch of the barrel is skilfully light. It would really shine in a Gin Old Fashioned or Martinez.

Nose: Burnt orangegold in colour. Beautiful aromas of marmalade and sponge cake.

Palate: Seville orange – perfectly capturing the oiliness of the peel and the succulence of the juice – as well as complex notes of caramelised fructose. The citrus flavours gradually make way for pine and woody spice.

Finish: Lingering citrus along with a sweet woodiness and final zing of orange.

Comments: A superb aged gin that would work so well in so many drinks, from highballs to a Martinez, or mixed with sparkling wine.
