Bethany

Nose: Fresh grapefruit with sweet floral rose and creamy vanilla. A spice note like mustard seeds, bringing a little heat, and a tickle of pine bark.

Palate: Rose overtakes grapefruit, then they balance with a lovely acidity. Sweet earthy spice, piney juniper and a touch of sour cream. Nice mouthfeel.

Finish: Coriander warmth with slightly bitter grapefruit peel as it fades. Nicely drying.

Comments: I enjoyed the freshness and dryness of this. I’d put this in a Gin Spritz, or simply mix with some soda water.

Nose: Relatively classic with angelica, juniper, and a pinch of spice, on top of which the rose and grapefruit gradually unfurl.

Palate: Zesty grapefruit upfront with a little bitterness, before sweet anise with some fennel. The rose then comes through, accompanied by resinous wood notes.

Finish: Sappy cedar, pine, and lingering notes of black peppercorns.

Comments: A great balance between botanical character and the additional flavours; a good choice for an Aviation, I think.
