Reminder: Dogs are not allowed on Southerndo­wn beach during the summer, from Tuesday, May 1 to Sunday, September 30. Dogs are allowed on Ogmore-by-Sea beach and owners are asked to make sure they clean up after their pets. Dog owners are urged to ensure their pets are kept under control to prevent sheep worrying.

Hay Fever: Now that the warmer weather is here the pollen count from trees is rising. Remember to wipe your pet’s face and feet as they can have problems with pollen too.

Primroses: This year there is a beautiful carpet of primroses in St Bridget’s churchyard and my garden!

Walking Festival: Eight mile walk starting at 10.45am on Thursday, May 17 from The Pelican in her Piety Pub car park. No need to book, just turn up.
