Smyrna Chapel Ser­vices: A tra­di­tional Sun­day school ser­vice in Smyrna Chapel, Penyfai, al­ways starts at 10.30am and the evening ser­vices take place in Smyrna Chapel start­ing at 6pm.

There is a cof­fee morn­ing ev­ery Tues­day in the Smyrna Chapel vestry from 10am-12noon where stalls of pro­duce are also on of­fer.

Com­mu­nity Coun­cil: The Brid­gend County Bor­ough Coun­cil own­er­ship of the Pheas­ant field Penyfai is be­ing looked into again by New­cas­tle Higher Com­mu­nity Coun­cil clerk John Rich­field is to write again to Kelly Wat­son the Brid­gend County Bor­ough Coun­cil mon­i­tor­ing of­fi­cer af­ter re­ceiv­ing a let­ter back from the Brid­gend Coun­cil, there is no men­tion of the Pheas­ant field be­ing part of the 1967 con­veyance, only the Plas Ty Mawr Hous­ing Es­tate, John Rich­field is ask­ing the mon­i­tor­ing of­fi­cer Kelly Wat­son to please send the doc­u­ment in the prop­erty depart­ment of Brid­gend County Bor­ough Coun­cil that re­lates to the Pheas­ant Field that will clar­ify the mat­ter of Own­er­ship of the free­hold land un­der the Vol­un­tary Reg­is­tra­tion of land project 2007
